Tutorial 1
Gaps of Knowledge
Having to change material parameters is a very common thing in design. Ideas change and so do a million other things with it. Making an object glow is a great way to highlight an element or to add special effects to a design. My tutorial simplifies how to make an entity glow, cutting out the irreverent part and by giving a direct and clear procedure in how its done.
Degree of Difficulty
My tutorial is ideally for beginner - advanced Sandbox 2 users. They should know how to make their own level or be able to navigate through opening a pre-existing level. The users should be farmiliar with accessing object from a database/library and will find the material editor without any issues.
The Tutorial
This tutorial is my first ever tutorial, and was quite a a different experience. Making sure every step was presented correctly and clear so that all users would be able to adopt the techniques used in the video. The tutorial focuses on altering a material from what it originally is make that material glow. The extent of the glow can be modified through a multiplier property. The intensity of the glow is given by the in game players location in reference to the object that is emitting the glow. (The glow is activated as soon as the player gets close) By moving in closer to the Entity, it will start to glow. And when you move away from the Entity the Object will return to its Default materials.
